No, and that's completely normal. First cycles tend to be irregular, and the flow can change from day to day. That's why we recommend starting with underwear for heavy or extra heavy periods - you can always add underwear for lighter days to your collection later, at your own pace.
Is period underwear suitable for school?
Yes, and girls will love wearing them to school. Snuggs underwear lasts on average 8-12 hours, though the exact wearing time depends on how heavy the period is. At the start, it's best to have a spare pair on hand, in case the period turns out to be noticeably heavier or the girl wants to change, for example before afternoon activities. How do you know when to change the underwear?
It depends on how heavy the period is and how absorbent the particular model is. The girl will gradually get a feel for it and find her own rhythm - at the start, though, it's good to have a spare pair on hand just in case, in case the period turns out to be noticeably heavier.

How do you wash snuggs underwear?
Wash it before first use to activate the absorbent layer. After that, you can comfortably wash it together with the rest of your laundry at 40-60°C, ideally with a gel detergent and without fabric softener, so the underwear keeps its properties for as long as possible.
How to prepare for a first period?
The girl can get familiar with the underwear even before her period arrives. She can keep one pair on hand at all times, at home and in her school bag, so she feels safe and knows she has something she can rely on whenever she needs it.
